It is a well-known fact that people in Jacksonville, Florida are the worst drivers in the world. Being a Navy town, we have people from everywhere intermingling here, and one of the first things they will all agree on is the horrible driving. So it's been a long time coming for someone to finally start cranking out the hate in bite-sized doses.
My food-run at lunch was so fraught with idiocy that I was finally full of enough anger-fuel to type it out. So here goes...
You know you're in Jacksonville if a driver...
1) Waits 3 minutes for a car to pull out of a spot...and the car either doesn't have people in it or isn't running.
2) Pulls the wrong way into a drive-thru restaurant, even tho every car in the lot is facing them and there are two very large Do Not Enter signs in front of them.
3) You're waiting at a stop sign only to have the person with the right of way stop and wave you through the intersection because they are being nice. (The 5 people that you brought to a screeching halt behind you don't approve of your kindness.)
4) All of the above happens in a matter of 5 minutes.
